“…and power lines were spread on the ground like spaghetti”
This metaphor from an NPR news story really got to me. The only two attributes they could be referring to is that they are on the ground and rather floppy. Well I don’t put spaghetti on the ground and they are wires; their natural state is floppy. I dunno, maybe she meant they were tasty and covered in a meat sauce.
